I usually eat light for breakfast – coffee and maybe something small with it. My preference is to have a coffee cake type of food, where is it fairly sweet to offset my black coffee and gives you a little sugar to start your day.
One of my favorites is chocolate chip banana bread but that is probably the last healthy one out there. The other day, my wife made one with cinnamon, sugar and nuts – it was pretty great! Here is a picture:
Add a little butter and coffee and I am ready for my day. Of course, a big hearty breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc is always enjoyable, but I try to do it less frequently and stick with a light breakfast.
